Shooting ants is something very challenging. 2 weeks ago I was actually planning to take moving car photos, but suddenly I found a lot of red ants on a tall plant (don't know what plant is that)..... Thus I tried to shoot couples of photos on them... surprisingly the photos come out quite nice... I was just using my 18-55mm lens.... not bad. If I manage to shoot with a macro lens... I think the result will be much better.....

USMKK night sky

15s, f/3.5, ISO 400 (WB: Tungsten)
Personally, I like this photo. This photo was taken unexpectedly someday last week at night around 11pm. I was planning to shot some building in USMKK at first. Just before my camera battery went up, I simply took this photo and found to be excellent. The photo was taken with camera on tripod. With 15seconds exposure, the clouds look amazingly nice. Try it..... but never overexposure like more than 30 seconds... because our earth is moving which can cause the star look blur...........

How to solve it?

Posted by Picasa1/25s, f/4.0, ISO 200
Poor cousin had one gauze sticked to her right cheek during CNY 2010 due to parotitis a week prior to CNY. However, she looked ok and active during CNY. Look at the way she focusing on Jenga... you know she was totally forgotten her surgical site with the gauze.

Superman

Posted by Picasa1/2000s, f/4.5, ISO 3200
Thanks my brother for taking this photo for me. Canon EOS Kiss x3 really good in taking motion photo. It's speed really fast. I like it. As I mention earlier, to take a jumping photo, the photographer should get down as low as possible to make the jumper looked to be jumped higher.

Another Moon Photography

Posted by Picasa1/50s, f7.1, ISO 100
This perhaps the best moon photo I had taken so far... I took this just 2 day before full moon. It's great with all the moon's surface well-shown. I am using my 55-250mm lens for the moon photography. Then I crop it!

Future Michael Jordan

Posted by Picasa1/1250s, f/4.5, ISO 100

This was taken on Day 1 CNY 2010 behind my house. My cousins were all so excited during the photo taking. They didn't actually jump high. Thus one of the way to make them look jump high is I take the photo in a lower level.

Night Sky

Posted by Picasa90.0, f/9.0, ISO 400
This photo was taken during CNY 2010. It's an accidental thought to snap this photo. Inititally I was planning to take some long exposure on the highway road... When I was on the way back home, I saw beautiful sky with lots of stars. Nice, right? The main problem I face during this photo-taking is focusing. Then only until lately I read an article online saying it's better to manual focus until the furthest. I might be trying it next time.

Mercedes Benz moving

Posted by Picasa0.8s, f/5.0, ISO 400
It's quite difficult to catch a moving object with blurring background at night... It's because when the object move, my DSLR should move with it at the same speed. And with the shutter speed of 0.8s, it is easily caused mismatching of the speed between the moving object and my DSLR. If that happened, the moving object will appear as blur and the backgrounf. Thus, I tried many time only got a few photos look nice.... Need more practice....

Canon Best!

Posted by Picasa1/30s, f/5.6, ISO 1600
Canon EOS Kiss x3 (Known as 500D in M'sia) is the first DSLR I owned. Before I buy DSLR, I did survey for many brand and model of DSLR. It's variety of choice currently in the market which make me difficult to decide which to aim for. Comparing between price, performance, brand, lens, warranty, reviews, etc.... took me a lot of time into these. Initially I was aiming to get Nikon DSLR. In the end, I decided to choose Canon EOS Kiss x3 beacuse of the following reason:

1) Good brand. My home got a Canon SLR, feel it's quite user friendly. Many of my friend who use Canon digital Cam looks nice in term of the photo colour.

2) I like the camera body design of Canon compare to Nikon. It's more compact and the button on the Canon DSLR is more nicely arranged to me... except the video mode and AV mode is too far apart.

3) I managed to get 50% cheaper kiss x3 in Japan compared to I buy it in M'sia for 500D. Thanks for my sister for helping me buying it.

4) Good reviews and good video posted in youtube also touch my heart.

In summary, I like this DSLR. Wonderful camera!!!!
